Canada Day

“Celebrate Canada Day Beaverton” is our annual FREE community festival for residents and visitors to celebrate the birthday of our nation.

This local celebration is produced as a community partnership with The Lions Club of Beaverton, local businesses and service groups, bringing multi-generational and family-friendly activities throughout the day and evening, sure to entertain festival goers all day long. Start the day at the Beaverton Fairgrounds with a pancake breakfast at the Curling Club.

Stroll thru downtown Beaverton to visit the local stores and then head back to the Fairground where their will be outdoor vendors and free games for the whole family.  Enjoy live music and then have strawberry shortcake with the Beaverton Thorah Eldon Historical Society at the Curling Club or enjoy a BBQ with the Beaverton Volunteer Fire Dept at the Fairgrounds.

The Harold Lodwick Citizenship Award will be announced at 2:00 pm in the fairgrounds, come out and congratulate the 2018 recipient.

Winter Carnival

The Beaverton Lions would like to invite you to join us for a day of fun and activities starting with a pancake breakfast, community bake sale and Silent Auction.

Come down to Old Mill Gateway Park and join in the fun on the ice slides, zorb balls, face painting, mini golf, tug of war, donut on a string eating contest and sled races.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, sample the chili and stew at the Meeting Place or have a hot dog and hot drink from the Lion’s BBQ. Take the opportunity to warm up at our warming stations and then take a nostalgic ride through town on the always popular horse drawn wagon rides.

All you need is a Carnival Button for $2.00, available from our downtown merchants or any Beaverton Lion. We look forward to seeing you there.

Shoot for Hoot - Mixed Ball Hockey Tournament

No one Fights Alone was started in May 2012 in memory of local resident Ron Harris.  This was started by Ron's family and the Beaverton Lions began assisting in 2013.

Teams consist of 10 to 13 players, with 2 girls playing at all times. Games are played inside and out and guaranteed to play at least 3 games and it is sure to be a fun filled day!

In the past, 1/2 of the proceeds went into the community with the other half being donated to Sunnybrook Hospital Foundation.

This year 1/2 of the proceeds will still go back into the community and the Harris family will be determining where the other half will be donated.
